Writing this blog has been fun and challenging and occasionally mind-expanding.
Sometimes it has been sad.
Sometimes I have had a good vent and managed to express my fears and my frustrations.
At all times, I hope in some small way it has helped somebody, somewhere, at the very least to know they are not alone.
When I started this blog, I never imagined that it would be looked at in so many countries around the world. This has been a real and very gratifying surprise.
To this end, I would like to ask you, my reader, a couple of questions :
What is your involvement with autism ?
Do you have it yourself?
Do you care for someone with autism?
Is there a family member who has autism?
Do you work with people on the spectrum?
Are you simply interested in learning more about the subject of autism?
Perhaps none of these is the right question. If that’s the case, maybe you could explain who you are and why you’re here. Would you share with me, reader?
My name is Fiona, and I’m the mother of a beautiful, challenging, noisy, handsome, self-involved, force of nature who has autism.
His name is Ian, and I love him to bits.
